This big machine, which is fed castings and turns out finished engine bearing caps for the new Packard automobile V-8 engine, will be shipped from Kearney and Trecker Corporation special machinery division plant here to Detroit this week. Weighing 50 tons and operated by an electrical control system, it repeats the manufacturing cycle endlessly without human guidance. Joseph Zacher, route 6, Waukesha, and assembler, appears in both pictures. Mill Machine.
