Description
Promoters Robert E. Lees (left) and Norman C. Naegle envisioning a 16-mile parade. The Spirit of '76 State Bicentennial Celebration Committee -- not to be confused with official organizations commemorating the nation's 200th birthday -- is in deep trouble. Its promoters, mainly Norman C. Naegle and Robert E. Lees plan the longest parade ever -- 16 miles, from Northridge to Southridge Shopping Centers -- and four gala balls to kindle the patriotic spirit of residents along 76th Street in Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, West Allis, Greenfield and Greendale.

Photo is dated 1975.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
