1980 Press Photo Milwaukee improves downtown to compliment Hyatt Regency Hotel

Description
The Hyatt Regency Hotel has begun to pay dividends in the form of cosmetics ripples Downtown. The City of Milwaukee, in conjunction with officials of MECCA and the hotel, has installed a new sidewalk, lighting fixtures and young trees along the east side of North 3rd Street, between West Kilbourn Avenue and West Wells Street to complement the landscaping effort at the base of the hotel. The camera was positioned on the northeast corner of 3rd and Wells and pointed northwest.
