Robert A. Humphrey, 22, son of the vice president, and Donna Erickson, 21, beamed as they announced their engagement at New Year's eve party in a Minneapolis, Minn., hotel. They set the wedding date for July 9. But Miss Erickson was hospitalized with pneumonia and the ceremony was delayed. Now the date is Saturday, Aug. 27, in Minneapolis, when a nuptial mass will be celebrated. She is Catholic and Bob is a Protestant.
