New York -- Herald Tribune makes up for pressless edition - Here are two scenes in the New York Herald Tribune tonight as the Wednesday morning edition of a 62-page newspaper is prepared although it will never go to press. The copy desk, top, in the paper's city room is as busy as on any other night preparing copy for the linotype machines, bottom. Full editorial and mechanical staffs prepared the paper although, in keeping with its announcement it will not publish while other New York papers are shut by the photo-engravers' strike. newspapers. filed 12-4-1953.
