Dakar, Senegal: "Furnished by the people of the United States"... That's part of the information on sacks of grain sorghum that, with other grain, lines a dock area in Dakar recently. The relief supplies are to be transported to drought-stricken areas of Africa. The 28,000 tons of grain on the pier are part of the large shipments of relief supplies being supplied by Canada, the United States and Common Market countries. (Hunger) American Aid - Relief supplies from the Western world often are needed when parts of the developing world are unable to meet their food needs. Here, sacks of grain sorghum from the United States, along with tons of other grains from the United States, Canada and Common Market Countries, lined a pier at Dakar, Senegal, in 1973 destined for drought stricken areas of Africa.
