Description
Biofeedback may still be on the frontiers of medicine, but it's winning recognition as more than a passing fad. It's now in use for treatment of a wide range of disorders at several respected medical centers, including Menninger Clinic in Topeka, Kansas. Training sessions at the clinic are enabling persons to learn to control bodily functions that used to be thought beyond voluntary control, including blood pressure and skin temperature. Sensitive electronic instruments are used to give patients feedback on their success. Here Dr. Jeff Nichols of Menninger Clinic explained how to monitor bodily functions.

Photo measures 8.25 x 10 inches. Photo is dated 05-14-1979.
