1969 Press Photo The Duke of Windsor's Fashion Style in the 60's - mjb32518

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
The Duke of Windsor arrived in New York aboard the liner United States with his Duchess March 26, and he's a style leader again after all these years. It isn't that the Duke has suddenly gone overboard on the new styles, it's just that he has worn the same style so long they are back in again. The Duke will be 75 in June. His double-breasted tweedy jacket is the same type he has been wearing since he gave up the throne to marry the duchess. It is the look of the 1950's that is just now being revived by the young designers. His tie features the Windsor knot he invented. (England - Royal Family - Windsor - Individual)

Photo is dated 1969.

Photo measures 8.25 x 10 inches.
