Sometime this summer, Channel 12 is bringing MIlwaukee another example of a continuing American Television phenomenon, a good looking news co-anchor. First, of course, Vince Gibbens has to learn the locations of Lake Michigan, Downtown and the Milwaukee River. And to know Henry Maier from George Speidel. Channel 12 has announced that Gibbens was being imported from Providence, Rhode Island, as just what the news doctor ordered to cure ailing ratings. In a relatively short broadcasting career, Gibbens has worked in Denver, Sacramento, and Providence. On the phone the other day, I asked him his age After some hesitation, he replied, "28." Then he explained the pause: "I forget that a lot."
