The Cedarburg, Wisconsin Police Department has been buzzing with activity since Eugene Boevers took over as chief January 1. He came to Cedarburg from Fond du Lac County, where he was a sheriffÃ¢s detective. Two other persons had held the post briefly after former Chief J.W. Thompson retired in September.
