Los Angeles, California-Fred Haney, who climaxed his 40 years in baseball as manager to the Milwaukee Braves after the 1959 season, returned Thursday as general manager of the new American league club in which he got his start as a high school athlete and sand lot baseball player. The former manager of the St. Louis Browns, Pittsburg Pirates and Braves was baseball television commentator this season. Fred Haney Becomes Television Personality.
