Description
Conservation department director LP Voigt recently presented officials of Menominee Enterprises, Inc., with a check for $150,000 in return for a one-year easement on lands along the Wolf River in Menominee County. Voigt, second from left, is shown here with George Kenote, vice-president, Jerry Grignon, chairman of the board, and James Frechette, a director. The easement provides for protection of the Wolf River's unspoiled wilderness character and for public fishing and camping under specified restrictions. The legislature appropriated the funds, and Governor Warren P. Knowles signed the agreement with the tribal corporation.

Photo is dated 1967.
