1950 Press Photo The Super Cub 95 - mja04005

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
The Super Cub 95 has an approved weight carrying capacity equal to that of a 31/2 passenger airplane. The front seat is larger and more comfortable than formerly and may be adjusted in height for maximum comfort and visibility. The latter is especially important in student instruction. The sliding window on the left and the wide door on the right greatly facilitate taking aerial photographs. The Easymait swinging engine mount is a boon to easy maintenance. Carrying on the Cub name are the Super Cub 95 and Super Cub 105 Outwardly appearing like their well known predecessors, they are powered by the Continental 90 horsepower and Lycoming 108 horsepower engines, respectively and have a number of important refinements. Each has outstanding performance and the Super Cub sets new highs in both high and low flying speeds in its class of lightplane. Seats in the roomy cabin are in tandem but they are larger and roomier.

Photo is dated 1950.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
