One does not usually connect fire fighters with sea rescue, but in Tokyo it is necessary in case a tidal wave caused by an earthquake in the Pacific Ocean strikes Tokyo flooding huge areas. Floods also are frequent in Tokyo after typhoon have brought torrential rain. The Tokyo Fire department have a special rescue section equipped with collapsible boats, which are shown being hurried to a disaster point, during the display.
