Teenage Jazz Fans In Riot At Lord Montague's Jazz Festival: Teenage rioters wrecked the first night of Lord Montague of Beaulieu's jazz festival at his stately home in Hampshire last night. They stormed the bandstand, forcing off Acker Bilk's jazz band and climbed up a TV lighting stand that collapsed under their weight. Three teenagers were taken to hospital. Police from all over the district were called in to control the 9,000 strong crowd and clear the Palace grounds. Photo shows A picture taken this morning showing the wreckage of the scaffolding which was decorated with horses and used for the flood-lighting and TV. It collapsed when the teenagers climbed on to it, and several were injured.
