General Assembly Opens thirtieth Regular Session Admits Three States To United Nations Membership: The General Assembly, opening its thirtieth regular session this afternoon, elected Gaston Thorn, Prime Minister and foreign Minister of Luxembourg, as its president, and admitted three new member states to the United Nations: Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, and Mozambique. The organizaton now has 141 members. The now president, Mr. Thorn, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, is seen addressing the Assembly. At left is Secretary - General Kurt Waldheim.
