Armed Attack In Monchengladbach
On April 5th, 1973 one of the subsidiaries of the Dresdner Bank in the City of Monchengladbach (near Düsseldorf) ws the scene of an armed attack during which the two gangsters took two women employee of the bank as hostages with them. The robbers asked for a ransom of one million marks. With that money and together with their hostages the robbers fled half of West-Germany. In a small village near Worms (Gollheim) they left their car, which was followed by the police, behind and continued their way on foot. The two hostages had been released before. A well organised search with 600 policemen, ans six helicopters has been started.
