Girl Tourists Duped In Airliner Bomb Threat: Two English girls, who were duped into planting a bomb aboard an Israeli airliner, were questioned by police in Rome. The girls, named as Audrey Walton, of Middlesbrough, and Ruth Watkins, of Newcastle, are thought to have unwittingly taken a bomb on board the airliner, concealed in a record player given them as a gift by two men, thought to be Arabs with whom they had stayed in a Rome apartment. The bomb exploded soon after the plane left Rome for Tel Aviv, causing only minor damage. The plane returned to Rome. Photo shows Ruth Watkins and Audrey Walton leaving their hotel to go to the police, in Rome.
