Luggage inspection system -- A system that uses a low-dost, short -pulse X-ray to detect illegal gust, explosives and other concealed contraband in airport luggage, briefcases and parcels has been developed by the Bendix corporation's aerospace systems division in Ann Arbor, Mich. The portable radio-graphic Bendix-ray inspection system is operated by one person who can be trained in its use within a few minutes an example of baggage contents that can be seen on the system's video monitor is shown at the upper left.
