'Invasion' exercises on Romney Marsh. A jeep is wrecked - Troops were landed from assault craft and jeeps were dropped from aircraft during the exercise "Pegasus Bridge'Â on Romney Marsh today. Personnel were not dropped owing to the high wind. The parachutes failed to open when one of the jeeps was dropped and it was completely wrecked on failing 1,000 feet.
