Britain welcomes the Nautilus as she arrives in Portland Harbour â The United Statesâ nuclear-powered submarine Nautilus arrived at Portland Harbour this afternoon, at the end of her voyage which took her under the North Pole. Thousands of holiday-makers gave a great cheer and shipsâ sirens sounded a welcome as the submarine approached the harbour.
