Of all the votes given at the election the CSU (Christian Social Union) received 50,18 % of all votes and will be for the next four years the strongest party in the Bundestag. The SPD (Socialdemocratic Party of Germany) received 31, 75 % of all votes and is therefore the second party and at the same time the opposition.
