Stop The '70 Tour Campaign Press Conference.
Mr. James Callaghan, the Home Secretary, has called the Cricket Council to a meeting at the Home Office in what appears to be a last-ditch effort to stop the South African cricket tour. He said last night: "I want to hear their reasons for going on with this tour after deciding that future tours should be cancelled". Mr. Peter Hain, chairman of the Stop the '70 Tour campaign said Mr. Callaghan's meeting with the Cricket Council was a step in the right direction".
