General Assembly Begins Special Session On Raw Materials And Development
The General Assembly opened its sixth special session, which was called, at the request of Algeria, to study the problems of raw materials and development. Leopold Benites (Ecuador), President of the twenty-eighth regular session of the Assembly, was elected by acclamation as President of the special session, and an Ad Hoc Committee was established.
