Crocodile Escapes From Private Menagerie. Tiny Reptile Creates Local Sensation: Mrs. Margaret Ive wife of the Landlord of the "Six Bells" Public House at Ruislip, Middlesex - has a private managerie in the garden of her home. The managerie includes a monkey - five tortoises - a Yorkshire terrier - and two cats - plus - six months old "Clara" - a tiny Crocodile. Yesterday Clara vanished - and a minor sensation was created in the area. Police were called in to search for her in the woods around the home - and bathers at the Ruislip Lido were warned with the notice "Danger" - "Crocodile at Large". She was finally tracked down to a water filled ditch - ten yards from her home. Clara looks very ferocious close-up - but she is only very very tiny - really.
