A House That Keeps On Growing!
When Mr. Kanawa, 58-years-old, got married 30 years ago he had dreams of owing a large house so full of determination he saved 10% of his monthly salary, he is an employee of Japan Telegraph and telephone Company, and extended hos house from a size of 66 sq.m. to 132 sq.m. Doing all the work himself this took over one year.
Not content with this he started to build a new dining room and kitchen, 99. sq.m., which were elevated from the ground and then in the space below he commenced work on a basement, which when completed this year will have 8 rooms and an area of 165 sq.m. A vast home by Japanese standards.
