The Faculty Room in Nassau Hall, the oldest building on the Princeton campus. The faculty gathers here monthly to meet with the President during the academic year.
On the left is Charles Wilson Pesle's portrait of George Washington, occupying the frame which originally held a portrait of George II destroyed by shelling in the Battle of Princeton (1777) On the right a portrait of George II by Charles Jervas, the court painter. It once belonged to Lord Byron, was presented to Princeton to replace that destroyed during the Revolution.
