OPS:- Aneta Georgieva-Slavova takes a sample from a wall-painting in the refectory of the Bachkovo monastery. This monastery is one of the sacred places of the Bulgarian culture. Built in the 11th c. A.D. the monastery is linked with the reign of the Bulgarian King Ivan Alexander. In 1340 the monastery was extended and its wall-paintings were considerably enriched. The wonderful masterpieces of the famous master-painter from Samokov Zahari Zograf are preserved here, as well as a rich gallery of wall-paintings made by an excellent, though unknown master of wall-painting.
