The "Boscombe Skydivers'Â in training. Preparing for International Parachute contest - The five "Boscombe Skydivers'Â were to be seen in training yesterday at Thruxton airport for the forthcoming International Parachute Jumping contest to be held in Bulgaria in the summer. The Five, 35 year old Norman Hoffman, Captain of the club, three R.A.F. men, George Charlton; Mike McArdle and McLoughlin with ex-paratrooper Dennis Lee say their big ambition is a two-minute drop that is jumping out at 20,000 ft. and making a free descent for two minutes. McLoughlin has dropped 593 times and McArdle has jumped 300 tmes.
