Banker Shot Down In Paris Street
The Chairman of France's second biggest bank was shot dead as he arrived at his office, the headquarters of the State -run Credit Lyonnais bank on the Boulevard des Italiens in Central Paris. He was M. Jacques Chaine, 61, who died a few minutes after being shot when the attacker opened fire on his car as it pulled up in front of his office - his wife who was also in the car was wounded in the head. The gunman provisionally identified as 22 year old Jean Bilsky, shot himself dead after the shooting.
