A Hostile Reception For Russian "Terror Chief" When He Arrived At The T.U.C. Headquarters
Boris Ponomarev, the 71-year-old Stalinist hardliner, Russia's so-called "terror chief" involved in the crushing of Hungary and Czechoslovakia, arrived in London for a six-day visit at the invitation of the Labour Party National Executive. There were demonstrations outside the T.U.C. headquarters in London when Mr. Ponomarev arrived for talks with T.U.C. leaders.
