Frances Sweeny, the Duchess of Argyll's beautiful 20-year-old daughter, and the Duke of Rutland are to marry after all. The announcement of their engagement ends weeks of speculation that began long before they went off on holiday together to the Middle East, chaperoned by France's mother. The 36-year-old Duke, whose first marriage to Anne Cumming Bell was dissolved in 1956, is a Protestant, Miss Sweeny is a Roman Catholic.
