British made "Freedom Bell'' to ring out in Berlin. American Ambassador attends ceremony - Mr. Lewis Douglas, the United States Ambassador to London, attended the ceremony at Messrs. Gillett and Johnston at Croydon yesterday of the casting of the "Freedom Bell''. The bell is to be placed in the city of Berlin by the American people as a symbol for the Free World's resistance against Communism. It will be eight feet high, weigh ten tons and will bear the inscription "That this world, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom''. Keystone Photo Shows: Mr. Lewis Douglas , places his favourite talisman into the mould. This talisman has been in the Ambassador's possession for twelve years, and was used as the "Fight for Freedom'' emblem which he founded in 1940 to endeavor to make his countrymen understand that it was their fight as well as that of Great Britain.
