Macleod speaks out.: The sensational inside story o~ how Sir Alec Douglas - home became Prime Minister was disclosed last night by Mr. Iain Macleod, one of the Ministers who refused to serve under him. Mr. Macleod, who is now the editor of the spectator, has written an article in which he states that from the beginning to the end of his Prime Ministership, Mr. Macmillan was determined that, in spite of the fact that he was the most qualified man for the job, Deputy Prime minister Mr. R. A. Butler would never become Prime Minister, and Sir Alec Douglas- Home had to be accepted. Photo shows Mr. Macleod in London yesterday, after the release of his sensational article.
