A.E. Matthews as Umpire in whisky - pouring contest and he drops off.: Eighty nine year old actor A.E. Matthews this afternoon took on the role of umpire at Britain's first 'scotch pouring contest' held at London~rry house. Competing were Britain's top bartenders. The competitors used "shot glasses" - which have a white line painted around them - and they have to pour whisky exactly up to the line - without using a measure.
