The novelby the former journalist--he is 39 years old- appeared on October last year in the soviet magazine "Nowyj Mix"(New World), It combines a love story of an inventor.DimitrijLopatkin and the wife of a high-ranking party official the fight of an individualist against the Communistic system.Shortly after the publication in the magazine the "Novyj Mir"diappeared from libraries and book-ehops in theSoviet Union,A West German publishing house got hold of the magazines and published the novel in German.It is now being translated and published in 23 countries ot the Western world.Onlynow due to the fact that the book started a victory-journey from Germany through the world-a small publication appeared in the Soviet Union.Keystone pictures of August 17,1957
