Weather - Houston - Sails into tree - A sudden windstorm in the Spring Branch area about 11:30 a.m. Thursday sent this lawn chair sailing into a tree. Residents in the Campbell Road-Hammerly Boulevard neighborhood reported trees uprooted by the wind, garbage cans sent flying through the air and frightened dogs trapped under fences. The United States weatehr srvice in Galveston said its radar did not detect a tornado in the Houston area at the time of the surprise wind, which was accompanied by heavy rains.
