His survival story rejected by Magazine - "The Saturday Evening Post" today revealed it had canceled a scheduled article about the survival of Lieutenant David Steeves in the High Sierras for 54 days. More trouble piled up on Steeves when his wife Rita, shown with her bearded husband during interview in New York last month, said she was thinking of getting a divorce. "The Post" said it canceled the story because it had found discrepancies of events during his 54 days' stay in the mountains after his jet plane crashed.
