Defector, says TASS - TASS, the Russian news agency, said yesterday that a man identified as Harold M. Koch, above, an American Roman Catholic priest from Chicago, had defected and asked for asylum in Russia, saying he opposed the U.S. role in Vietnam. In Moscow today the U.S. asked the foreign ministry for permission to see the man, and the Soviets promised to consider the request.
