The Department of Defense released this photo in Washington, February 28, of what it identified as a Soviet long-range reconnaissance plane flying over a United States (U.S.) Navy task force southeast of the Azores on February 22. The department said the pictures was made from a U.S. Navy plane based on the Carrier Forrestal.
