Forrestal deck swept by fire - The deck of the USS Forrestal was swept by fire today after an explosion on the flight deck. The Forrestal, third largest United States (U.S.) aircraft carrier, had been on station off North Vietnam only five days when the fire broke out. The ship is shown during a training exercise in 1956.
