General Paul L. Freeman, United States (U.S.) Army commander in Europe, inspects the 2nd Armored Division arrivals in Spesbach, Germany, today as the "Big Lift" of the division from Texas to Europe nears completion. At right is Colonel George R. Dunn. With the landing of a four-engines transport with 60 troops in Germany tonight, the lift was completed without a flaw.
