Snatched from the earth, two men dangle beneath the rescue ship on a precariously fragile-looking line. They are Colonel Allison G. Brooks and A.3C Ronald Doll, participating in the new system's first tow-man rescue attempt. At left, the colonel appears disheveled but is uninjured after being hoisted into the modified Lockheed Hercules. United States military. U.S. Military Airlift Command.
