Betty Lou "Blue" Alexander, Houston school board vice president, teaches a second-grade bilingual class at Montgomery Elementary School. Mrs. Alexander, who has never... one of about 54 volunteers participating Friday in the school's annual "Celebrity Day." Among students reading both in English and in Spanish were Jessie Santoya, Sylvia Zepeda and Julia and Jose Rodriguez. Mrs. Alexander said she learned a lot during the class.
