1974 Press Photo Worshipers at St. Pius X Byzantine Rite Roman Catholic Church

A full house gathered last weekend at the St. Pius X Byzantine Rite Roman Catholic Church, 9100 Meadowshire, for a special mass celebrating some renovations at the church. Unlike other Roman Catholic churches in this area, St. Pius X includes icons like those found in Eastern Orthodox churches. (They are located in front of sanctuary.) Because of its Byzantine Rite, the church there is not affiliated directly with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Galveston-Houston. Other pictures show various worshipers.
