KTRK-TV Channel 13 has been given the Distinguished Service Award of the Texas Youth Conference for outstanding contributions to community service and specifically for a News Probe series investigating juvenile drug abuse. "Experiment in Disaster." The award was presented by Kay Jones of Houston, state treasurer for the youth conference and a member of the Houston Youth Council.
