Description
The splendor of the Italian Renaissance is chronicled at St. Thomas University's current exhibition, "Builders and Humanists." In the foreground is a terra cotta Bozzetto for Michelangelo's figure of "Day" in the Medici Chapel in Florence. Framed by the arched niches are a bronze Venus, and Annibale Carracci's sketch of a seated faun. Part of the beauty of the "Builders and Humanists" Italian Renaissance exhibition at St. Thomas University is the well-designed installation. A study, attributed to Michelangelo, left, was loaned to St. Thomas by the Museum of Fine Arts. Frame in the niche is a bronze Venus.

Photo is dated 1968.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
