1968 Press Photo Little Rickie Lee Welch gives his money to Christmas seals

Christmas seals Little Rickie Lee Welch, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Welch, 922 Forest Oaks, has asthma and a severe breathing problems himself, but when he saw a poster promoting Christmas seals, he decided to give all his savings - $3.55 in pennies - to the purchase of Christmas seals so "some other little boy can breathe better." The Christmas seal program is the manner in which the San Jacinto tuberculosis and respiratory diseases association hope to raise $275,000 for research and treatment.
