Clayburn Church of God, Church Construction Stopped, State District Judge Shearn Smith put a stop to construction of the Clayburn Church of God, a non-Penecostal church, in the 10400 block of Alcott off Gessner in the Spring Branch area. Smith ruled that deed restrictions in the Spring Branch Valley subdivision prohibit construction of any buildings other than homes, The church began construction of a building, which was to cost an estimated $70,00, three years ago but construction has been stalled by legal actions.
