Description
The $1.6 million Matagorda courthouse in Bay City, Texas was dedicated Wednesday. Lt. Gov. Preston Smith made the dedication address and County Judge J. J. Spurgeon cut the ribbon which signaled the opening of the building. The $1.6 million figure includes furnishings and fixtures. The building is on the Bay City's square, on the site of the old courthouse.
